In August of 2018, I participated in the inaugural Innovation Task Force. With a group of fifteen other students, we traveled to Fauquier County, Virginia to work with regional wineries, offering marketing and business solutions. Me and a partner were paired with Arterra Winery, a small winery owned by Sandy Gray-Murray and Jason Murray. Our task for the week was to develop a targeted marketing strategy, which would bring more customers in to the winery. We were able to develop a package of resources and recommendations the winery could use to grow their business:
Branding guide with winery’'s logo colors and font to use for future publications and social media posts
Social Media Tips Guide with ideas for creating engaging Instagram stories, best practices for reaching more customers with stories, and ideas for their Facebook and Twitter profiles
Canva templates that the owners can use to post social media images in real-time using the Canva app
List of local organizations matching the values of the company to reach out to for potential customers and private parties
Email template for local organization outreach
Recommendation of linking Yelp in email marketing to encourage more customers to write positive reviews about the company, growing their reputation
Memo for combining duplicate Facebook pages
